COMMUNITY

We're cultivating seeds of change in the way we consume, grow and learn about food right here in South Carolina.

EMPOWERING OTHERS THROUGH EDUCATION

Here at Tiger Corner Farms we know that education is essential for change. That is why we are proud to be working with local schools from Kindergarten to College to usher in a new era of innovative farming. Our work within our community has brought hyper-local greens into school lunches while also inspiring new sustainable agriculture programs and enhancing existing course work with fresh ideas.

Ready for deliveries!

In partnership with the Ashley Ridge High School Agriculture Program and Vertical Roots, we bring more than 2,000 heads of fresh lettuce into school lunches every week! Agriculture students learn how our systems work and the differences between traditional farming and aeroponics.

Cadets earning a sustainability/environmental studies minor are running one of our farms as part of their coursework. The produce they grow remains on campus and is served in the mess hall. Now that’s smart eating!

ROOTED IN GIVING

Our company began by seeing a need in our own community: not enough people have access to fresh, healthy food. We believe that our container farm systems have the potential to transform areas by empowering individuals to grow whenever, wherever they live.

Changing food systems first begins with access. At Tiger Corner Farms, we donate 100% of our community farm’s harvests. These donations go to either Charleston area groups fighting hunger or the South Carolina Aquarium’s aquatic residents. This allows our containers to remain food waste free, an effort we’ve made to step up sustainability as a company.

TCF has received Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certification from the U.S. Department of Agriculture for all our operating container farms. This voluntary audit verifies that crops grown inside the farms are produced, packed, handled and stored as safely as possible to minimize risks of microbial food safety hazards.
